Tara

Tara Wright

Executive Director

Tara is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Early Childhood Education and brings a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge in Christian education to the organization. She began her career as the Early Childhood Director at Christ Fellowship, a mega-church in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She later transitioned into the role of Program Director with Classical Conversations, a national educational program “that supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families.” Tara has been married to her high school sweetheart for 20 years. They have 3 children, ages 12-17, who love sports, traveling, and youth ministry programs.

Jennifer

Jennifer Graves

Program Director

Jennifer got involved in The Buggy Bunch as a mentor for one of the morning Bible Studies several years ago. She then led a few studies before she began to homeschool her children five years ago. She has been in Christian Ministry leadership as a Coordinator for American Heritage Girls, then a Program Director for Classical Conversations, a nationwide home education program. Jennifer spent the months before she came on staff as an Administrative Assistant at Pathway Church, where she has attended for 10 years. She loves serving others, and has a real heart for people. She has been married to her husband Brent for 20 years this Spring, and they have three teenagers. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with her family, and enjoying time at the beach.

Leslie

Leslie Bowen

Development Director

Leslie, originally from Michigan, has lived in Florida since 1997. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelors degree in communications which she utilized in various sales and marketing positions. The Lord led her to Christian ministry, teaching grammar school art history at Master’s Academy. Helping in various ministries within her church, and involvement on the Indian River Homeschool Association as a board member has increased her love of serving others. As a mother of three, she is drawn to the mission of The Buggy Bunch which is to serve, assist, and equip moms while sharing the love of Jesus.

April Muller

Parent Coordinator

April Muller, a Vero Beach resident since 2000, joined The Buggy Bunch in the summer of 2012 through their Bible Study entitled Soul Food. Though her two children were past their “buggy” stage, the Bible Study experience made her feel as though the mission to spread the Gospel was a practical possibility. Prior to this, in 2008, April launched the Classical Conversations homeschool program in Viera. The following year, she brought it to Vero Beach. She served four years as a Foundation and Essentials Director with Classical Conversations. April has a clear calling to make other moms feel welcome and loved and utilizes her skills as both the Mom Coordinator and the Community Relations Director in The Buggy Bunch. She is also actively involved with a local non-profit counseling center called CrossLife Counseling. She and Derek have been married since 1994.

Christa

Christa Goldsmith

Children’s Ministry Director

Christa, a Florida native, has lived in Fellsmere for the last 15 years. She graduated from Clearwater Christian College with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She has been a stay at home mom for the past 15 years. Christa first joined the Buggy Bunch in 2009 seeking to form relationships with other moms with small children. In 2018 she began teaching Playfull Education Classes for the Buggy Bunch. She is very excited to join the ministry of the Buggy Bunch as the Children's Ministry Director. Christa has been married to Seth, her middle school sweetheart for 19 years. They have 5 children ages 6-15, who she home schools. Her hobbies include running, reading, and scrapbooking.

Grace

Grace Imler

Administrative Assistant

Grace was born and raised in Vero Beach. After completing homeschool, she graduated in 2015 from Florida International University. Grace then became Missions Coordinator for a small non-profit in Costa Rica where she led mission groups and VBS programs. She also taught and tutored Spanish during this time. In 2017, Grace felt called to give back to her local community and started working for The Buggy Bunch as the Children’s Ministry Director. Grace loves working with kids and bringing them closer to Jesus. She attends Ocean Unite Christian Center. In her free time, Grace likes being with her family and friends, drinking coffee and running. Grace married her husband, Matt, in November 2017 and are expecting their first child in February 2020.

Rebecca

Rebecca Schlitt

Financial Director

Rebecca Schlitt is a mother of four who works part-time from her home as an internal auditor for a major health insurance company & teaches Yoga and Cycling at Christi's Family Fitness. She moved to Vero Beach in early 2011 to be closer to family, having previously lived in Orlando, Jacksonville & Tallahassee. Rebecca graduated from Florida State University with a Masters in Accounting in 2000, has worked in public accounting & internal audit since that time and is currently a licensed CPA. She is married to Terry Schlitt, a structural engineer who is the owner of T.E. Schlitt Engineering.

Sue

Sue Dean

Development Officer

Sue Dean started her work with the Development Team of The Buggy Bunch in January 2017. She was drawn to the organization’s sense of community and wants to be part of helping meet the needs of local mothers and sharing the love of Jesus with them. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She homeschooled all three of her children and currently volunteers at a private Christian school on the athletic fundraising team and volunteers with classroom teachers to help determine kindergarten readiness. In her free time, Sue enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking and taking photographs. She and Tim have been married for over 28 years.
